About Sandborn Fall Festival

Our Story

Sandborn Fall Festival was formally known to many locals as the Black Creek Festival and in years past had been coordinated through many different organizations including the Park Board, The Sandborn Lions Club, and more. In 2017, the Sandborn Volunteer Fire Department initiated bringing back the annual event but under the new name "Sandborn Fall Festival".  The event was put on by the Sandborn Volunteer Fire Department through 2021 (except for 2020 due to COVID 19 regulations), but unfortunately in 2022, they no longer had the manpower for such an undertaking.

In 2023, the Town of Sandborn Town Council reached out to local members of the community to create the event again utilizing a new community based non-profit "Friends of Sandborn Fall Festival" to pull it all together.  The non-profit became a registered 501c3 Charitable Non-profit in 2024!!

A percentage of the proceeds from the annual event go back to the Sandborn Park Board and other needs among the community, while the remaining proceeds will be used to help continue this tradition for years to come and back into the community based on what other needs there are.  In 2024, our goal was to replace the scoreboard on the new rejuvenated ball diamond! That was completed in 2025 and will be used for the first time for the 2025 Sandborn Fall Festival. For 2025, the committee installed and updated the internet equipment and a wifi mesh system so that the whole park will have wifi!!   2026 project is aiding in the funding to improve the electric in the park for events like this!

We hope that you enjoy your time here in our little town!
